What’s the best meal you’ve ever had? 

The first time I ate at South Philly Barbacoa. I’ve never been so moved by a meal. This was in their old location, the one that’s now Mike’s BBQ. But I just walked into the kitchen to hug Cristina. I didn’t know her yet and I know better than to just walk into a kitchen, but it just all overcame methe intimate setting, the flavors, the people assembled in that room, both staff and customers… She looked at me and said, “I’ll get you a cookie.” I’m still in love with that place, but there’s nothing like the first time, ey?
